Ayla Software Ltd. develops Ayla Finance, an offline-first personal finance application. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Information the app stores
Ayla Finance stores the financial information you enter, including transactions, bills, budgets, categories, notes, receipt images, and app settings. This information is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database.
How information is used
Your information is used only to provide the app's finance tracking, bill reminder, budget, reporting, backup, and restore features. Ayla Finance does not require an account and does not operate a cloud sync service for your finance data in this release.
Permissions
The app may request notification and alarm permissions for bill reminders, camera or photo access when you choose to attach a receipt image, and storage or file-picker access when you choose to import, export, back up, or restore data. These permissions are used only for the feature you choose to use.
Encrypted backups
When you create a backup, Ayla Finance creates an encrypted.fgbak file protected by a recovery passphrase you choose. You choose where to save or share that file. Ayla Software Ltd. does not receive, store, or recover backup passphrases.
Data sharing and retention
Ayla Finance does not sell, rent, or share your finance data with third parties. Data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or remove it through the app's data-management controls. Backups remain wherever you choose to store them.
Security
The app uses an encrypted local database and supports a master password and optional biometric unlock. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, so protect your device, master password, and backup recovery passphrases.
Children
Ayla Finance is not directed to children. Do not enter personal information for a child unless you are authorised to do so.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app's privacy practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated with the revised policy.
